Let’s take you back in time….Hello 50’s!!! I’m super excited to finally post these, as it’s one of my favorite shoots ever. If I haven’t mentioned it enough throughout the years, the 40’s-50’s style is one of my favorites. I would seriously dress like this everyday if I could! Not only is it the definition of pure elegance – it’s classy, flattering, and all around good vibes.

Huge thank you to Aaron B. Productions (@aaronbproductions) for making these come to life, and Robert Diaz (@46_bomb) for letting us shoot with his gorgeous classic 1946 Chevrolet Fleetmaster.

From the outfit, to the bag, to the car – everything combined really took us back in time.

This look was actually an outfit Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) wore at the end of Season 1 in Gossip Girl, when she was about to leave for vacation with Chuck! I was excited to recreate this outfit that Gossip Girl stylist, Eric Daman, had curated.

I was able to find the same Bettie Page Tatyana sailor dress, and the red Louis Vuitton Cannes bag that was used for Blair’s outfit. I also added other touches like the flower hair clip for that classic style, and the white Venus earrings by Brivee Boutique to match the white trim on the dress and belt.

This beautiful round epi Louis Vuitton bag was also a great addition to my collection not only because Blair wore it, but because I love the 50’s style and it pairs well with so many other outfits! It’s already made an appearance several times on the blog!

These white Venus stud earrings by Brivee Boutique are my favorites for any 50’s style! These are definitely my go-to’s as a cute accessory for vintage style dresses. Of course they match well with other outfits too, but these have become a statement for my vintage looks.

I’ve also been wearing these black mary-jane wedges from Amazon for years – since my old car show days! I’m sure you’ve recognized them in more than half of my photos 😅. This particular pair are new ones, since my old ones were ready for retirement, haha. They were great quality to even last years of walking around at shows, though! And although they are super comfortable, nothing beats that old first pair. These ones feel a tad bit big, or maybe my feet shrunk even smaller 🥴 It’s difficult for me to find heels with my size 5 feet!

Poshmark was a handy app to find several of the pieces to curate this outfit! I found a similar green neck tie on Poshmark, along with the Bettie Page dress and LV bag too! You can definitely find almost any type of clothing piece on there. To add to the 50’s effect, I pinned down a light hair roll at top and soft curls all around. I really loved the end result, even though I did it quite simple and quick! I focused on the end curls, as that really portrays the vintage 50’s housewife look.

How vintage do these black and white edits look?! These came out amazing and truly take you back to the 50’s (but in a modern type way, haha). Aaron B. Productions did an amazing job shooting and editing all these photos! If you need video or photo work done, he is the man to book!

How did you guys enjoy this 50’s theme shoot?! Let me know if you’d like to see more!
