Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Collection Review

Products Mentioned (From Left to Right): Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Concealer, Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter, Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Foundation Powder

Covergirl released their new Vitalist Healthy collection in recent months, and Influenster was nice enough to send me a few products to review! I received these a couple weeks ago but didn’t want to review them until I had a chance to test them out quite a few times. I honestly don’t use Covergirl products often, but this new line surprised my expectations and were better than I had imagined.

The Vitalist Healthy Collection was created to help the skin (safe for sensitive skin and dermatologically tested) infused with vitamins and nourishing ingredients  to give your skin that natural and healthy glow.

Like most drugstore cosmetics, these products are not paraben free, but I did not break out whatsoever with these products. And I break out very easily!!

Concealer:

The concealer they sent me was in the color Light/Medium. It was the perfect shade for me. I was not a fan of the applicator (I feel it’s not very sanitary), and it took awhile to get the product out at first. I did like the consistency of the concealer (thick and creamy), and I did like that it was infused with vitamins. It was easy to blend with a beauty blender, although it did crease a bit after a couple hours. I was able to rub out the crease and didn’t recognize any other creasing throughout the days I wore it. The concealer is nothing special, but it did work for me overall and it was comfortable to wear.

Foundation Powder:

For the foundation powder, they sent me the color Buff Beige, which was a little too dark for me. I still decided to use it as a setting powder over my liquid foundation. I used a small amount so it wouldn’t make my face look dark, and it worked out pretty well. It had a matte finish and lasted a good amount of the day. It didn’t break me out whatsoever, and I feel my face was less oily throughout the day. For the small amount I used it worked great for me.

Highlighter/Illuminator:

The highlighter came in a pot, and I used my finger to dip into it and place on my cheekbone. It was easy to blend, but the highlight was not very intense. It didn’t stand out as much on my skin tone, and I feel it was hard to see. The consistency was nice, but I just wasn’t impressed at the end look. I tried to layer more, but it was still pretty hard to see. I think this would work better as an eyeshadow or corner of the eyes in this particular highlight color.

Overall, I’m impressed with the new Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Collection. The drugstore has been really stepping up their cosmetics and this particular collection worked great. It wasn’t perfect, but for the prices they did work for me and I can see myself using the concealer and powder in my everyday makeup routine. Personally for me, if a product doesn’t break out my sensitive skin, it definitely helps my opinion of it! I would rate these products an overall score of 7/10.
